About Domain Building Concepts
Domain Building Concepts was formed in January of 2007 by Mike Harber and Jim Lindler. Mike and Jim have over 45 years of experience in general contracting and estimating. Domain Building Concepts proudly provides property damage restoration and general contracting services to residential and commercial customers in Franklin, Fairfield, Delaware, Licking, Union, Madison and Pickaway Counties.
Mike Harber
Mike founded Domain Building Concepts in January of 2007 with Jim Lindler. Mike has an extensive background in estimating and contracting. He started as a carpenter with Building Unlimited in 1986 and spent a year working on the United Way Building Fire in North Columbus. In 1993 he started estimating and really enjoyed it. Mike became a partner in 3-D Building Systems in 2001 where he managed all estimators and the sales division. In 2007 Mike started Domain Building Concepts. He has continued to build the business each year and really enjoys helping people restore their lives.
Mike married his wife, Heather, in 1990. The Harbers have two daughters; Taylor, 11 and Jordan, 9. In his spare time he enjoys outdoor activities, golf, traveling and following the Buckeyes and Browns.
Jim Lindler
Jim Lindler founded Domain Building Concepts in 2007 with Mike Harber. Jim has a tremendous amount of experience in the insurance restoration and construction industries. In 1971 Jim graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in Industrial Education. After college Jim spent several years building multi-unit dwellings in Bowling Green. In 1973 Jim came home to Central Ohio and joined Mid States Contracting, where he worked as an assistant and then superintendent. From 1980-1982 he teamed up with a fraternity brother to form Sun Rise Builders. Sun Rise performed the finish carpentry work for M.I. Homes. In 1982 Jim joined Building Unlimited and where he worked as both a field and senior estimator for 21 years. After his time at Building Unlimited Jim joined 3-D Building Systems/Disaster Kleen Up as a Senior Estimator.
Jim has been married to his wife,Diane, for 34 years. They have one daughter, Heather; a son-in-law, Davey; and granddaughter, Alexis. In his spare time Jim enjoys watching the Buckeyes, playing golf and pool as well as spending time with his friends and family.
Rick Haley
Rick joined Domain Building Concepts in February of 2010 to head up the marketing department. Rick spent three years in the United States Army as a combat engineer and was an Operations NCO. After proudly serving in the Armed Services, Rick began a successful sales career and also started Tastefully Yours Catering.
Since joining the Domain Team Rick has found his work is extremely gratifying. Haley says “when you see the faces and the emotions of people who have had their home damaged it really makes you think that it could happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere; and then to rebuild and repair their home so their life is back to normal is a really great thing.”
